How to install Remotix QC on Linux

First, find out what Linux distribution do you have as we provide different packages.

Installing Remotix QC to a Debian-Based Distribution

We made a separate package for Ubuntu, Debian and other Debian-based Linux distributions. To install one, go to Remotix QC Download page and get a .deb package. Once downloaded, open the package to install it; or open console and execute this:
sudo dpkg -i [package path].

When installed, Remotix QC will appear in the Start menu and become available from console by remotixqc command.

Installing Remotix QC to an RPM-Based Distribution

We also made a package for Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Fedora distributions. To install one, go to Remotix QC Download page and get an .rpm package. Once downloaded, open console and execute this:
sudo rpm -i [package path].

When installed, Remotix QC will appear in the Start menu and become available from console by remotixqc command.

Installing Remotix QC on Other Distributions

If you are using other Linux distribution, go to Remotix QC Download page and download a tar.gz archive with a universal binary for x86_64.

The executable binary is located at bin/remotixqc. To use Remotix QC, you only need to run the binary. If you need more beautification, find the application icon at RemotixQC/icons/<...>/remotixqc.png and the desktop-environment file at RemotixQC/applications/remotixqc.desktop.
